Renewal Passport Online

 First of all log on to the official web and follow the instruction given below:

Enter the area and fill your email id and choose user name and password.
Check your mail account within 90 days and activate your account on passport India portal.
There is 2 alternative. Aspirant can fill form online or he also can download a copy and upload it along with document
Aspirant is requested to fill the detail correctly before payment.

Documents Required
For renewal for passport the following documents are required:

•  You must print out the online form that you printed out with the Application Reference number ( ARN ) and carry with you. It is mandatory to have this document with you.
• Original Old Passport that is expiring or expired

• Same Address as in your Old Passport :
  You do NOT need anything other than photo copy of your passport first page, last page and the page with ECNR info. You will do self-attestation ( your own signature)
  You may carry current address proof like a utility bill or Bank statement or Voter card, etc… see below for some of those documents.
   
• Change in Address – Different one from your Old passport address
  Just like above,  first, last and ECNR page photo copy with self attestationAny one of the  Utility bills like Water, Telephone, Electricity Bills –  You need at least for 2 months  of which one should be of current year and other should be of previous year.
  Proof of gas connection.
  Ration Card with address .
  Bank Statement  for 1 year, Passbook of the bank account with address on it.
  Any of the cards like Adhar card, Voter ID, etc.
  Address proof of change in address – Any one of the below is acceptable.
• Add Spouse Name, Change :
  If you would like to add your spouse name, carry original and photo copy of your marriage certificate. It is required. You need a photo copy that needs to be self attested.
  If you plan to change any details like names, etc, you need to carry original with photo copy signed by you.
  

  

Police Verification

After submission of the application form for renewal of passport online, your application is sent to registered police station for verification. A police constable may visit your house or the address specified in the application form. Once verification is done your application is again sent to the passport office along with the verification certificate.

Fee and Mode of Payment
Fee for online renewal of passport (36 pages) is Rs. 1000/-.
Fee for online renewal of passport (60 pages) is Rs. 1500/-.
Additional Fee for online renewal of passport in Tatkal is Rs. 1500/-
Fee can be paid either through Demand Draft in the name of passport officer concerned or in Cash.

Delivery of Passport
Passport may be delivered only to the applicant or dispatched by speed post to the address given in the application form.

Online Form Submission

	Register through the Passport Seva Online Portal. (Click on "Register Now" link on the Home Page).
	Login to the Passport Seva Online Portal with the registered Login Id.
	Click "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport" link.
	Fill in the required details in the form and submit.
	Click the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link on the "View Saved/Submitted Applications" screen to schedule an appointment. Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at all Passport Seva Kendras/Passport Offices. Online Payment can be made using any one of the following modes: Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa) Internet Banking (State Bank of India (SBI) and Associate Banks Only) SBI Bank Challan
	Click the "Print Application Receipt" link to print the application receipt containing Application Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number.
	Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)/Regional Passport Office (RPO) where appointment has been booked, along with original documents.
